I have always loved Mini Rex, but never raised them until now. When I first got started I bought my foundation stock who were all self colors. Then, out of a litter from a broken blue and a chocolate popped out a color I had never seen before, a Himalayan! Although it was the wrong color, it sparked a desire for me to work with this variety exclusively as it is a difficult variety to breed but I am always up for a challenge. So, I sold off the majority of the self-colored rabbits (except for my favorites) and looked for some of the nicest Himalayan stock I could find. I am starting to get several rabbits from my own breeding that are nice enough and have good enough point color to show and I am looking forward to getting them on the table this year.
